I know I mentioned something about walking more at the very beginning of my talks on here.
I haven't really kept up with my walking (when, during grocery shopping?) or my exercise routines (what are those?), nor have I really bothered writing down what I've been eating (...wait, was I suppose to do that?) or counting carbs and whatnot.
It's a chore.
It's bothersome.
I have other things I should be doing with my time, right? Right?
I did mention having purchased a smartwatch with very mixed reviews, and I'm not sure why everyone was extremely disappointed in it left and right -- it lasted almost two weeks on a single charge, let me know my pulse and oxygen levels, showed me how well I slept (when did I sleep?), had alarm settings, and even told me when I had a new text message. Beyond that, the time and the weather were spot-on and the faces could be changed!
While this is the only smartwatch I have ever used, I'm very happy with the Ruimen Fitness Tracker. It definitely isn't the cheapest smartwatch on the market, but it is definitely one I will stand behind and not think twice about it -- works well with my Motorola, and clocks in with the WeWard app.
(Yes - and, "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases." I have to say it. Amazon would kick my assets if I didn't, and I like my assets to be left alone, please and thank you.)
So let's get down to the apps, shall we?

HEALTH APPS:
--- Noom. Available on Android and iOS. (No, no, hold on! Hold on, let me finish!) Noom is pretty good as long as you keep up with what you're doing every day and make absolutely certain you track your eating habits. You have the choice of a free plan or a paid plan, and they aren't trying to guilt trip you into actually buying anything you aren't interested in purchasing.
While I have not gotten anywhere near the payout threshold (yes, there is a payout threshold!), if you can keep your daily routines in place you can get a minimum payout of 5$US (24,000 seeds) and a maximum payout of 50$US (200,000 seeds -- I'm going to wait to get the larger payout and get back to you on that one).
--- BitePal. Available on both Android and iOS.
Like little animal avatar things that can be cute if you put in all of your daily meals and water consumption information but all sad and mopey if you leave them alone without a thought sideways? This little raccoon critter does just that, and I hate leaving it sad. That said, I'm definitely going to get with the app creators and put a bug in their ear: This app needs a reminder to help you keep track of your meals -- or if you may have actually forgotten to eat. (Oops.)
Beyond that, you can either describe your meal or take a quick photo of what you're about to eat and let it figure out the rest. If you're keeping up with your daily walking progress, it can figure out if you've had enough caloric intake for the day. While it is maintained by A.I.... like with chocolate cake, we should use such in moderation.

REWARDS:
--- Patter. Available on both Android and iOS.
Have a dog? Go on walkies a lot? If I actually had a dog and we went out for walkies, I would definitely have this app on hand for extra treats for them. As a member, you do get exclusive discounts and special perks to various stores - and, yes, I did try the app out just to see how it worked.
Is it worth it? Yes. I managed to get a 10$US Fable Pets gift card for a friend of mine with the cutest little terrier for just a few walks with them here and there over the summer.
You can earn 10 Patter$ by using my referral code: l0p1om
--- The WeWard app (available both on Android and iOS) is pretty cool, as it rewards you for your steps as well as for whatever games, surveys, watched ads (and so on) that you complete each day. While it isn't exactly the most exercise-driven app on the market, it does pay out and you don't have to rely solely on your steps -- and your steps are not specifically calculated with your phone attached to you!
I've been really bad. I've been away from the app for several months while trying to get work done. That's okay, though - maybe we can all get some steps in together.
Download the app and use my code CraftyJay1996 to start with 150 Wards! (FYI: I would only get 50 Wards as soon as you convert steps for 3 consecutive days, so ...if you're just getting the app to say "Yeah, so I did this to help you out" ...that doesn't work here. ^^; Love you guys that do that, but try to only download apps you think you're going to actually use. <3 )
--- Noom Vibes! Similar to Noom, and by the same company, Noom Vibes! gives you daily exercise routines, peaceful music to get you focused or destressed, a habits to cross off your to-do list -- from brushing your teeth to just getting outside. It's that simple. And they do have a very tried and true payout platform, for which I can attest as being legit.
Works with both Android and iOS.
Want to be part of my Noom Vibe! family? Download the app and use the StepFam code 5120-280
--- Evidation. Available on both Android and iOS. While this is a very, very slow app to gain anything monetarily from (I just got my first payout after being with them for three years), it does help you keep track of your movements, your overall health, how you're feeling from one day to the next, and has various overviews of your input throughout the week.
You can go the extra mile by connecting the app to your Google Fit, Fitbit, Oura, Garmin, Strava, and a few other health-based apps/devices to keep track of your overall health.
Interested? Yes, it is a slow go - but every step helps. We both earn 100 points when you sign up.

REWARDS?
--- CashWalk. Available on both Android and iOS.
Bleh. I've been with them as long as I've been with Evidation. While Evidation has actually panned out in the rewards arena, I've yet to see anything from CashWalk. That's not to say it's not legit, mind, just that it has become an annoyance to me and I tend to forget about it.
...especially since I'm not as active as I should be with my phone on my person and it refuses to acknowledge my Google Fit app/smartwatch calculations the way all of the other apps I use do without issue. They do have in-app games to play, which could help me declare if it is or is not legit ...but I just don't have the time. If it acknowledged my steps? ...yeah.
How about this for a New Years' Resolution: I'll try a different type of smartwatch in 2026 and play a few games on CashWalk to see how well it does - how does that sound?
If you want to try it with me, you can sign up with my referral code MQA6J and we’ll both receive bonus coins to start earning immediately.

Random Fun:
--- Walking Planet. Available on both Android and iOS. I haven't really bothered with this one as much as I should, but I think I'm going to try to have a little fun once in a while again. I need to have a little bit of fun once in a while, right?

Of all of the different ways we can each and every one of us (including our pets) can use incentives to stay healthy in the coming days, weeks, months, years... we call all say "Yeah, there's an app for that."
Stay healthy (and sane) this soon to be over a month of extremely delicious possibilities -- and remember to find a way to remain healthy (or become so) in 2026!
Also? If you have any other health apps I should try, let me know - I'm always interested in something new!
