Part 2: Disposable Coffee Pod Filters - Yes or No?

I went in non-caffeinated yesterday morning and almost made a disaster using an Evri-Cafe Disposable Coffee Pod Filter.  I went in this morning... with a plan.

With a simple pair of scissors, I was able to trim the excess from the rim so the top closed flush on my reusable coffee pod. (I was so happy, you've no idea.)

Now.

* Yes, the trim worked.

* Yes, I will be doing this for the remaining 48 disposable coffee pod filters.

Will I be making this specific purchase again?

I was very nearly devastated by the fact the water made the coffee grounds float - never having used a filter, I'm used to the grounds sinking and leaving the top clean.  It really made me wince.

The interior was, generally speaking, a 50/50 shot in the dark due to there being no lip left on the filter.  I knew that, going in, a few spots might be in the bottom still because of the trim.

That said - NO, I will not be purchasing any more of these specific coffee pod filters.  In less than two months, should I decide I want to continue utilizing filters, I will be looking for a specific reusable pod with filters combo pack that is noted interchangeable with the Mueller coffee maker that I am currently using.

Like this EZ-Cup 2.0 Reusable Capsule with 25 disposable filters, for instance.  (I'm pointing it out, not trying to make you purchase something.  You're fine, no worries!  Remember, if it was an affiliated link it would be highlighted in yellow - I try to make it easier on all of us, and I will always disclose what's what.)

So, yes, I did manage my coffee parameters this morning, and I will continue to do so with the current filters until they are gone.  By the end of October I hope to have a new set of reusables to help keep my mornings caffeinated for the remainder of the year and into 2027!
