Everyday Dose: Day 3

So, yes, I did in fact purchase Everyday Dose's seasonal deal.  The box came with a few bumps and bruises on the way to me, but would you expect anything different from the USPS?  Yes, a few scuff marks from travel mean nothing -- it's what is inside that counts.

(If your eyes are drifting from the box to the blue knitting, I'm backlogged for the holidays and do not have any spare handcrafts for sale.  Interested in possible 2026 purchases?  Keep an eye out for future posts - currently looking into creating an Etsy page to help deal with any future overflow.)

Opening the box (after having waited patiently for ten [10] days for it to arrive), I was pleased.

One (1) 7.7 ounce [219g] bag of Everyday Dose mild roast Coffee+ -- PLUS the following freebies:

  • Seven (7) 0.32 ounce [9g] packets of Everyday Dose medium roast Coffee+
  • One (1) 7.4 ounce [210g] bag of Everyday Dose peppermint mocha Creamer+
  • One (1) Rechargeable Frother
  • One (1) Gunmetal Dose spoon
  • One (1) Nutrition Booklet
  • One (1) Breathwork App by Othership subscription* available through both Google Play and the Apple App Store
  • One (1) Everyday Dose sticker
To be honest?  I don't care about the "freebies" and I told them that ahead of time.  I care about the taste and texture, as well as the health benefits -- I'm even waiting a week before getting back in touch with them directly about my experience (though all of you get a look at my first three [3] days, and I feel like sharing my experience so far right now).

-------------

The "30 day" bag is especially made to have each cup of coffee -- with the added benefits granted by Lion's Mane, Chaga, L-Theanine, and Collagen added to the 100% Arabica coffee mainstay -- created with one (1) leveled tablespoon of Coffee+ to hot OR cold water (anywhere from 4 to 7 ounces recommended).

After mixing fully, you can drink it black -- or you can add your normal creamer, and you can do so by normal means or be all fancy and use the rechargeable frother.  Your pick, your choice, your coffee.

Yes, this IS coffee.  This is not made of mushrooms, this is coffee with the benefits that come from the addition of specifically chosen mushrooms for a healthy boost to your morning routine.

I'm an odd bird, and I always taste a new drink black from my stirring spoon.  I want to know the flavor.  I want to know the acidity.  I want to know the pre-creamer feel so I don't have to constantly attempt to get the coffee-to-creamer ratio exactly right by experimenting.

I like knowing exactly what I need, if I even need anything.  This needs a little bit, but not much, to suit my taste - which is actually rare.  I have only had one other coffee that has been on that side of not bitter (please be mindful that I purchased the mild roast with Everyday Dose - I purchased the medium roast for the other one that doesn't need much added [if anything, depending on my mood]).

To me, the flavor profile does harken to what is advertised:  Chocolatey, Smooth, Light-Bodied.

Now, to the three (3) days I've added it to my daily routine!

-------------

DAY 1:

Strictly using Everyday Dose, I used my pod-based coffee maker to boil and pour 8 ounce of water into my usual coffee mug.  I tested the temperature -- 153 degrees Fahrenheit -- and allowed a few splashes of said water to go into the sink.  Mixing one (1) levelled Gunmetal Dose spoonful of Coffee+ into said water with the provided frother (I was feeling a bit aloof that morning, don't mind me).  Using a spoon, I took my time and tasted what I had produced:

I won't say it was weak, but it did remind me slightly of a black tea.  Being from the South, I could have probably just added a teaspoon or so of tasty raw sugar and drank it with a smile on my face.

No.  No, I had peppermint mocha Creamer+ -- so I added the same amount of that to the mix as I had with the Coffee+ and ...it added a much richer definition to the chocolate notes.  Obviously.

-------------

DAY 2:

Because each levelled Gunmetal Dose spoonful of Coffee+ contains roughly 45mg of caffeine (as a mixture, there is no exact science for the daily allotment, sorry), I brewed my normal coffee preference in my normal coffee cup.  I added to that one (1) of the 9g (0.32oz) packets of medium roast Coffee+ alongside the same amount of peppermint mocha Creamer+ as the day before to my normal coffee.

Wow.  Effing wow.  Wow wow wow.  If you have a thing for deep decadence with dark chocolates, this is one mixture you cannot possibly beat.  Sadly, though I did drink it in stages, the taste was too much for me to consume in one sitting.

If I wanted a German Black Forest cake?  Hold up, hold up, lemme make myself some of that 8 ounces of coffee/Coffee+/Creamer+ and have that in there -- boy oh boy oh boy, yes please.

-------------

DAY 3:

After yesterday, I knew I needed to give myself another taste of that decadence.  No.  No, I did not put it straight into my coffee.  Because I use fresh grounds, I brewed a normal cup of coffee into my normal coffee mug with my normal splash of normal creamer.

I had my normal morning coffee like every other normal morning.

I brewed another mug of coffee from those exact same grounds, now weakened.  I added the same amount of Coffee+ and Creamer+ as the first morning -- and have found my perfect cup.

Please note: My "normal" coffee varies.  I've been using a medium roast with hints of blueberry for about a month, which probably alters the coffee/Coffee+ mixture's flavor slightly.

Yes, I will continue to use Everyday Dose Coffee+ daily as part of my coffee routine -- and, most probably, will do so the way I did this morning.

Why did I select Everyday Dose over all of the other types/brands?

With the addition of Lion's Mane, which some people actually purchase separately and add to their coffee to taste (I know people who actually do this), as well as Chaga, I know that the benefits of mental clarity as well as a boost to the immune system exist.

With winter on the doorstep, and having to (unfortunately) go out into places that other people mingle, a boost for one's immune system is always a plus.  The colder months also bring on the mental blahs for me, and I have been getting a bit sluggish of late ...and I don't feel like boosting my writing and artistic attempts with lots of fake sugar loaded "energy" drinks.  Caffeine?  Sure.  Fake sugar?  ...pass if at all possible.

One thing that not every canned "energy" drink has that Everyday Dose does have is L-theanine, which -- like Chaga -- helps with mental clarity.  It also helps to limit, and even possibly eliminate, caffeine "jitters" and, overall, I find this to be a huge advantage over attempting to use "energy" drinks.

Coffee with benefits, using a very limited number of ingredients in comparison to so many other brands, placed Everyday Dose at the top of my list.

No lie, I debated on just ditching the purchase.  I debated for a week, and then decided it was worth the cost -- and the subsequent subscription.

Again, Everyday Dose has a deal at the moment on their website (still in effect as of December 12, 2025) that includes everything that I listed earlier, backed by the connection of a subscription added to the purchase.

-------------

If you would like to use Amazon rather than purchase directly from the Everyday Dose website - or you're not sure if you should try it first rather than have the cost of a subscription tied to the deal itself, I'm just going to give you the clear cut line "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases" before handing you the Amazon link.  Amazon is a little more expensive and doesn't come with the "freebies" that the website is currently sporting ...but you don't have to worry about possibly not liking it and being tied to a subscription because of a lower price and a bunch of "freebies" that come with it if you're purchasing through Amazon.

You also have a 5-day window of delivery through Amazon, which is a bit better than hoping you get it quicker than the 10 days like I had to wait. >>;

If you're just curious, you can also browse Amazon's listings (the "qualifying purchases" line still applies) for various items both for Everyday Dose as well as ...unfortunately anyone else's listings, should they decide to pay Amazon to put them there.

Regardless, have a healthy morning routine!
